this is gonna be interesting

you know. i've told myself a lot of things.... like how i dun want to be an engineer. how i dun want to go to dunman high. i dun want to be single when i am 25.... somehow all these things have all came true.

And in 2004 when i was in Hong Kong alone (becos i had 2 free nites after coming back from Europe)... in the intense summer heat of June..... I fucking broke down in my hotel room becos 1. it was too effing hot and humid (worse than spore) 2. i was suffering from claustrophobia from the buildings that were too close together 3. i cannot for the love of god understand cantonese 4. i was bloody bored to death because i had no one to talk to... and it was only for 3 days. it was there and then i told myself "I WILL NEVER TRAVEL ALONE"

and then in 07 i went to france. alone. i did some travelling then, for a couple of days. alone. last year, i went to San Fran alone... and i quite enjoyed it actually. Funny how we tell ourselves not to do a lot of things.... but we end up betraying our better judgement.

I'm leaving for a grand total of 18 days this time (20 if you count by calendar days.... damn the time difference) and i am kinda majorly freaking out. i dunno if i can handle NOT TALKING to anyone for such long period of time. and i dun wanna like break down in a hostel with 100 people staring at me.... malu pls. but at the same time... im looking forward to getting away from singapore. from work. from everyone and just be with myself. i think its going to be.... different. and i hope it'll be interesting.

looking forward?....... yeah. i think so.

crib partayyyy + Arena redux

In my last minute attempt to look good in states, i dashed to robinsons to buy myself nice underwear. yeah i know i'll prob be the only one who knows im wearing nice undies but who cares. i have to look good for NYC. i'll just survive with disposible undies in DC and Boston.

Met up with weiwei at Eunos after that to go to Victor's crib. oh hell yeah free booze and food... the party was pretty last minute so there were a lot of randoms..... from scout frens to his airforce frens to pri school frens.... but u know what they.... once u kill a cow... no wait. sorry. ALCOHOL MAKES EVERYONE FRIENDS. oh yeah thats right..... lost a bit at poker but watevs. i'll just treat it like im paying for my booze. hahaha. Guest of honor was of cos ms winnie ong.... i think she's pretty amazing... cos she talks like rapidfire and her stories are always entertaining.... we were there from 830 till like 3am its MADNESS i dunno how time passed by so quickly. pretty dead at the end of the nite and had to miss lunch with daddy and mummy the next day cos i was too smashed.

 totally dragged my ass to the gym even thou i was in absolutely NO CONDITION to exercise cos of my tiredness and hangover. and true enuff i gave up after 30mins.... hahaha. took and long train ride to tanah merah to celebrate my cousin's 7th bday. i swear. kids nowadays.... ZDY celebrate bday EVERY SINGLE YEAR... dun get it. i was so tired i ended up sleeping on the floor in front of the tv in front of everyone. WHOSE FAULT U TELL ME.... cos i had to prep myself for the nite with.....

today i was quite happy at work.... cos.... my boss totally commended me during our div's monthly meeting. i wasnt expecting it AT ALL... and then suddenly he opened the meeting by saying "as u know Cheong Chye has been our training coordinator for the past 2 years and he has done a very good job blah blah blah.... so let's give him a round of applause."

ok i nearly DIED there and then cos i tot my "eca" was quite a simple one i was merely just.... doing it. SIANG BU DAO.... eh and i got cert of appreciation and $50 voucher from HR ok..... althou they havent given me yet so i dunno what voucher it is. hahaha.

when he was saying that, all i could manage was a feeble smile... and my classic "huh" look.... and i really wanted to shout out "SIMISAI".... but i stopped myself. i should start working on my "oh yeah i totally expected this but imma try to remain humble" expression. hahahhaa kidding.

Long Weekend Part 2

ok as promised here comes part 2 of the long weekend celebrations.

Totally slept in on Sat cos i was too tired and woke up just in time to bathe and change to go to Adam's wedding lunch at Conrad. Wow i must say Conrad's food is VERY GOOD and i loved the decor of the place.... so elegantly romantic. It's the first lunch i've attended and the first one who had the solemnisation done on stage too! quite special.

 but the food i must say was damn bloody slow cos they had to pre seperate everything into individual portions... wah wait until i dulan so i had to keep whacking drinks.... and my scout mates who seldom see me dirnk just saying im an alcoholic.... hahaha. sorry ah, old news.

these 2 faces on the other hand, soft and supple and majorly cute. hahha. i digress..... so we met this really really really cute shiong di of adam and he came over to our table and i was hinting to jinwei.... shuhong saw me teasing her and totally saboed her by saying "hey have u met jinwei?"..... and then the 2 of them shook hands.....loves it please. and at the end of it all, shuhong told us "by the way he is married with a baby".... jheng jheng jheng..... ZDY break a girls heart like that.

So i was totally late for changi beach club...... i blame the slow food.... i was so distracted the whole time at the wedding knowing that the bitches were doing this:

and i tot i would have to spend money and take cab there but wsr was SO NICE he decided to send me there in his bmw... wooots!! score pls...... so bam i was at changi in no time. i was totally looking cool in my attire of shirt and pants looking like a D&G model when i decided to sit at one of those deck chairs that TOTALLY GAVE WAY and i crashed to the floor in slow motion.... it was damn embarrassing pls. tmd fml ttm.

in an effort to shift attention to something else, i quickly changed into my trunks and jumped into the super inviting pool!

Went back to the room (which was totally zai and big. wooohoo no more sleeping on the floor!) to bathe and change and alexis showed me new bling from DKNY:

it was only 5plus and i just had a super full lunch but we headed to changi village for dinner.... haha.

after dinner we took a short stroll outside and chanced upon these kiddies taking kiddy rides... i used to take these rides outside emporium when i was ye small. damn im old :(

ct drove us back to the hotel and the sun was about to set.... PERFECT. my attempt at an artistic shot.....

the sun was so round and orange it was so pretty.... and i forgot how long it has been since i saw a proper sunset... i was surprised i could see it SET in a matter of 2 to 3 mins.... yuan lai the earths rotation is quite fast...hahahaha

with 5gz...... i swear our clique keeps getting smaller and smaller from 8 to 7 to 6 to 5.... ma de. we are indeed disintegrating..... dismas and peter u were sorely missed :((((

after a quick shower as i was heading out to the ktv lounge, i saw the crescent mood which was HUGE btw and really very gorgeous... this photo does no justice man... at the ktv, initially the rest were all a bit sian so only step and i were singing the whole time.... until we whipped out our smuggled drinks of beer vodka and muscato.... and the whole point of this get together is to celeb babs and steps bday.... this super fantabulous lychee martini cake was from CT!

MORE DRINKS FOR CHER.... haha busted. really very tiring the whole nite cos i was singing like a mad man NON STOP.... i am amazed i still have my voice now i swear. we finished drinking all our drinks and we were a bit sian until step came in and told us "EH I OPEN BOTTLE EH 100BUCKS ONLY"..... oh no she didnt..... ki siao liao.... sure die.

oh boy zdy.... and i dropped my phone inside but we could still manage to find it in our drunken stupor.... WOOTS! we werent that drunk afterall.....

got hungry, cooked cup noodles and all of them totally crashed while i was playing angrybirdz aka dulanjiao on babs's iphone.... that game is too entertaining and addictive i cannot take it!!!

looking all refreshed in the morning.... :)))))) hahaha. sorry even i wanna puke..... we went to whitesands for brunch at hongkong cafe and i ate the papaya soup noodles which was wahhhhh very nice. it tastes so healthy i think i will always eat that next time.......

Long weekend part 1

Yay long weekend!! gotta love that. i always love the weeks leading up to the ultimate grand finale which is Xmas and NYE cos year ends are always laden with public holidays, weddings and of cos my bday haha.

Met up with Skee QY and wei for dinner at Chilli's.... cos its all of their bdays within a span of 4 to 5days... but sorry ah i am really broke so i cant possibly foot the whole bill. hahaha. I brought Canny (zdy give him a name....thou its orange, its a guy camera ok. it metro) out for his inaugural photoshoot session and guess what wei did to him?

yes. sorry Canny for scarring u for the rest of ur life. your virgin photo in miniature mode was a disaster.... your master is much better looking that that. HAHAHAHAA. anyway the food at Chilli's is pretty alright... the buffalo wings were a disappointment thou. And its a little pricey so i dun think i am EVER going back there again..... Wei bought a pair of shorts for me from BKK.... its XL but i can barely sqeeze in.... all my fats are spilled out. very tragic..... so i gave them to my sister instead and it fits her perfectly. hahaha. i promised wei to LOSE WEIGHT and take back the shorts from my sister.... gotta love sharing clothes with a woman.

Went to the gym to worked out those chest and biceps of mine and went home to prepare to go clubbing with dwirty boy, cher and fhfl step. step insisted that we be her entourage for her muct anticipated return to piak nite at Play.... nabei i swear to god i have NEVER EVER SEEN SO MANY VAJAYJAYS in a confined area at a time.... it was traumatising. imagine me queuing to get into a piak club. ma de. sjb. waste my time..... but actually inside was not as packed as i expected. damn those clubs and their policies. so each of us got rounds and i think i was pretty smashed last nite... and i brought mexy out to give him a virgin shua ka experience too.... (FYI mexy is also a boy even thou he is white.... he is metro too). i swear i cant stop staring at it.... its so white and pretty. YL mexy is a pretty boy. ok watevs this post is too gay to function.

after clubbing we went maxwell to eat supper... which was orh luah (slurps), bar chor mee sua, raw fish, fried tofu and claypot frog legs..... sjb zdy eat so much for 3 people. ki siao. but its ok since i know i wun be eating breakfast the next morning... and i will be going to.......

SUNGEI BULOH..... sian last week i pangseh my scouty frens for brunch.... so i cant possibly ps them again. in fact i havent been to SB so i was quite excited. just that i slept at 4 and woke up at 715am with a massive hangover..... and i had to take bus to pasir ris to hitch a ride from wsr and his bmw. loves it.... ok anyway useless fact of the day....BULOH means bamboo....

and that was what greeted us the first thing when we stepped in! haha. so pretty please. and at the visitor centre there was a pond that was FILLED with malayan monito lizards which were at least 2m long.... i swear the whole pond was filled with at least 20 lizards.... it was fascinating and scary at the same time.

at the entrance we saw this quite zai looking man with a DSLR and tripod so we asked him to help us take photo.... and tis was the result

perfect symmertry please.... hahaa. and look at me i think i was still half asleep then.... anw this trip was supposed to be the 4 of us only (wsr, jw, cindy and me) but YL wsr has so many frens...... in the end there were 13 of his other frens. such persuasive skills. i am impressed.

actually i think SB would be a very nice place to just take a walk in the morning and breathe fresh air. i keep suggesting to 8gz to go macritchie or wherever in the morning. but my ideas always get shoot down. sians....

After that we went to a place called bollywood veggies for lunch!! its at one of those farmhouse place me, aili and dismas went for our outing 2 years back. damn nostalgia.

issit just me or do u think my gym is working... my arms and body looks... bigger. in a good way? haha.

anyway bollywood veggies is quite cool... its like a plantation with a lot of differnet plants and stuff. and there is a "restaurant" where they cook the food they grow... nubbad to try if u are in the area but no need to go there esp just to eat it :)

hmmmm bananas...... quite cool right! yeah so that was the end of my 6 healthy hours of living.... and i am totally not going out today cos the next 2 days have to sleep late too... if everyday sleep so late i will just die.
