BYE BYE CIVIL ENGIN!!

Moses and Junxing kindly organized a grad dinner for the entire department last nite at No Signboard Seafood at Esplanade... And they actually got like half the cohort to attend (including a couple of profs) so KUDOS for their effort!!

Cant believe 4 years in engin just passed like that.... the countless labs, the 8 times of chionging for exams.... and the many hours slogging over assignments. I still think year 1 was the most disgusting year in engin, having to fight with so many pple and survive the bell curve.... things seriously got more interesting and more manageable in CE, a place where i met a many great pple there.

Here's Sundeep, my first ever fren in KR, whom i had to do a forfeit with. Essentially he had to take out my tshirt using only his mouth. Very gross... and then we spent 6 wonderful months in France doing SEP together. Nowadays, we still speak french when we want to talk bad about people behind their backs (sometimes in front of them).

And then Zhiwei (far right), whom i did changing landscapes project with... and also basically saved my life during Design Project. Super smart and hardworking guy. Althou we were assigned diff groups for the same design, he helped me a lot during the 4 horrendous weeks (which made me miss my last IBG in hall).... while my useless groupmates did NOTHING.

Eugene, whom i knew back at SAFPU, who i also did Changing Landscapes and several other modules with as well.

And then lastly... my gang from Bluestones.... people whom i grew so close for the past 3 years. Thanks to CE3101... that year long module nearly killed most of us but we survived.

Robson, whom i knew from day 1 in Engin haha. Carrot, Robbie, Luo po.... all his nicknames. grateful to have met him in CTW..... little did i know a simple "eh do u wanna do ctw project together?" would lead to 4 years of frenship. And then there is Moses, the class rep..... the idea of a class rep in university seems ridiculous to me... but he gladly did it... for 3 years no less. HAHA And then there's Weyling and Xianhui. The token ladies of the group... the people who would bring the testosterone level down when the guys were always arguing. Tenghui, the slacker... and the one with the most unusual ideas, ideas which we have to shoot down more often than once. HAHA. yeap thats it. The last person does not exist in my memory anymore. Void.

The picture (2 pictures above) was taken 2 years ago while we were still in year 2. And the one on top was taken last nite (sans WeyLing and the invisible man). Ahhhh look how we have aged. Gracefully if i may add.

After a round of drinks at Boat Quay treated by the Profs, its time for last goodbyes, handshakes and warm hugs... So long people. I am sure we will meet again when we start working.... its not a very big industry anyway.
