Wassup peeps!! My very tired legs just touched home ground about 4 hours back and truth be told i still feel like i am on a boat... woosy feeling. So anyway, my diving trip to Tioman was kinda exhilarating and my five senses were treated to a feast of its own.
Sight: WOW, just when u thought you've seen it all on land.... the underwater world offers another magical paradise of its own with its vibrant colours of the rainbow. Lucky me, i saw 2 sea turtles, tonnes of clownfish, angel fish, bat fish, butterfly fish, sergeant majors, damsels, cuttlefish and one HUGE ASS puffer fish (the size of my thigh). The clownfish were especially cute!! popping out of the anemone once in a while to peep at us! and our instructor cut open a sea urchin for some live underwater feeding!!
Taste: Seawater does not taste good... nuff said. Most of the time when i wanted to puke, its not because of seasickness, but more of the taste of saltwater that made me nauseous. BBQ dinner was fantastic as well... its good have BBQ when its not me cooking hehehe. And the sotong... to-die-for.
Touch: Didn't get to touch a lot of the creatures cos hum ji me, feared that i will die of posioning... but did get to play with sea cucumber which feels freakishly like an erect penis (hahaha. oops too much info) and touched the underside of a sea anemone.... ahhh velvetly smooth... did you know that its safe to touch an anemone with your palm, but if you use the back of your hand, you get a rash? interesting eh? Something to do with pores...
Smell: can still smell the fresh air of Tioman... its nice to breathe clean crisp air in the morning when the roosters and kittens greet you good morning.
Sound: When underwater, all i heard was my breathing and the sound of the regulator...... and faint noises of fishes eating. i KID YOU NOT. Everything was so peaceful and serene it gave me time to immerse myself in the whole environment. What a feeling!
Diving was a fantastic experience... thou not all is fun.... i hated my roommate... who happens to be a very wierd person that no one likes. He seems nice at first (dun they all) but somehow i just couldnt stand him towards the end. (its wierd that people whom are extremely nice turns out to be the freaks of nature that no one can stand eventually. Think Ye Yinhao and Thomas Teo).
i remembered when we were having lunch, i was so freaking tired and was thinking about not going for the last dive. he came to me and said "come on cheong chye, all 8 of us started this together and we are all going. it would be nice if all 8 of us go together. i know you can do it!" he said this with so much enthusiasm and conviction i almost wanted to puke out my lunch. like "fuck you bitch" was wat i wanted to reply. i barely knew you for 36 hours and here you are thinking that you know me so well, you smelly fart.
And he was sooo kiasu he kept cutting in between me and my buddy and the instructor during the dives. like go float somewhere else you stupid person. and it doesnt help that i had to share a bed with him at nite. and the best part is he stole my half od the blanket and i was freezing to death that ignorant imbecile. FUCK.YOU.BITCH. seriously.
i didnt like the boat ride, which made me queasy, but i was strong enuff not to puke... i got very sick and tired of having to wear and take out all my gear and feeling cold half the time. and i didnt like having to wait and wait and wait.
all in all it was a good experience and althou it was totally fun, i doubt i will be going to more diving trips in the near future... sometimes too much of a good thing can be bad as well dun ya think? plus did i mention my ankles aching due to the fins... sigh.
alright now.... tioman bound and back.... next stop: Beijing, China..... ah tiongs galore!!! cant wait.
